Gazebos at Patio Preserve!

Gazebos have been a popular outdoor and garden decoration for centuries and, indeed, they are as old as the garden itself. A gazebo is a free standing structure with a roof, often in the form of a cupola, and walls that are open on all sides. A gazebo can provide shade, basic shelter, enhance a landscape or just be a place to rest and view the landscape around you.

Shading a deck or patio is simple and stlish with the Deluxe Gazebo w/ cover from Patio Preserve, perfect for outdoor entertaining. Or, for even more coverage and protection, the Deluxe Gazebo w/cover & Screen is made of powder-coat iron with a Dacron cover. The sides feature a stylish pattern that looks beautiful on its own or with vines growing. The patio screen partitions space stylishly either indoors or out. The wrought metal screen offers shelves and holders for plants and flowers.

Did you know the earliest known gazebos were in Egyptian gardens approximately 5,000 years ago, found in a garden plan which dates to about 1400 BC?!

Cleaning all-weather wicker furniture is easy!

All-weather wicker is virtually maintenance-free but you should give it a good once over each year. Remove the cushions and inspect the piece. You can give it an overall cleaning with a garden sprayer or wash with soapy water and then spray down. If there are scratches or marks, you can use a mild abrasive to remove them.

You may want to buy some cushions for your all-weather wicker furniture for added protection and comfort. Patio Preserve cushions resist mold and are waterproof. Resin does not get hot when standing in the sun and is extremely resistant to chlorine and suntan oil making it a perfect material for pool furniture. With such life-long features, it is no wonder why people are getting sold on all-weather wicker. If you have not heard enough, the maintenance-free characteristic bears repeating. Outside of caring for and cleaning your all-weather wicker furniture with soap and warm water, you can sit back, relax and forget about it. And if by chance you get a tough stain requiring additional cleaning power, such as a bleach/water mixture or a power wash, you can do so without affecting the color of your furniture.

Cleaning and Care of Cast Aluminum Patio Furniture

Cast aluminum furniture has so many benefits the list is endless!
However, when it comes to maintaining cast aluminum furniture, the list is very short! Even though Patio Preserve's cast aluminum furniture is close to being maintenance-free, it occasionally needs to be cleaned and cared for. Here's the "short" lowdown!

Usually a quick hose off or rub down with a damp cloth is all that is necessary. Occasionally, if the cast aluminum furniture gets overly dirty, wiping it down with a mild detergent with a soft sponge or cloth and rinsing with water will do the trick. If your finish does ever become severely scratched or nicked (which is highly unlikely with its durable powder coating), it is important to prepare and cover the blemish with touch up paint. Usually this is obtained from the furniture's maker. They will have the proper paint color and formula match.
