Enjoy Nature With A Webcam

Enjoying nature is a relaxing, educational activity. Watching colorful birds play in your Two Cranes with Lily Bird Bath or eat from your Romance Bird House can be mesmerizing, so why not enjoy them while you are away?

To keep an eye on the bird in your yard, buy a Logitech Webcam and place it safely under your roof or any dry area of your house. Once you have the perfect place, turn on your webcam and enjoy the sight and sound of the chirping birds that are enjoying your yard. You will be able to view the interaction between birds and learn their habits from up close, without the risk of frightening them. Once you get to enjoy your footage, share it with friends and family on your blog or by email.

A webcam is a great and simple way to connect with the wildlife that is only footsteps away, so install one by your bird feeder or birdbath, and enjoy the discoveries of your own back yard!

Bird Baths 101

When we’re thirsty, we quickly get a drink from the nearest water faucet or refrigerator. Birds do not have this luxury and rely on nature or people to provide water. Bird baths are not only useful for thirsty birds, but for bird lovers as well who gain a watchful eye on their feathered friends. Bird baths also provide a decorative "sculpture" for a garden or patio.

Design
The design of the bird bath is important. They should be made out of materials that can weather well and are sturdy enough to hold water and visitors: cast aluminum and iron bird baths are perfect materials for this. Patio Preserve bird baths are strategically designed with a cast iron base for sturdiness and a cast aluminum bowl for weathering climate and moisture.

Maintenance
Maintenance of a bird bath may be as simple as a daily quick wash and refill. Fresh water is important because of the possible adverse health effects of birds drinking dirty water. Cast aluminum is ideal for the bowls because it stands up to moisture issues, such as moss and mold, and requires less maintenance than concrete or stone.

Safety

Consideration should also be made in the location of the bird bath, avoiding cats or other predators. This can be done by placing the bird bath in a location where the birds can see the area around it, and where there are no hiding places for predators to lurk. This is one of the reasons bird baths are traditionally placed on pedestals.
