Outdoor Umbrellas For April Showers

Just as we have been getting our patios and other outdoor areas ready for those summer bbq’s, April showers have come in to rain on our parade. But not to worry, Patio Preserve has you covered- literally! In order to help keep your outdoor area protected, simply add an outdoor umbrella!

Outdoor umbrellas easily attach to your patio table, and come in coordinating patterns, to keep your patio furniture clean and dry, despite that rain! They can be installed and taken down easily, so you won’t ever have to fuss with patio furniture covers that don’t always fit correctly, and sometimes blow away. Outdoor umbrellas can also be positioned in other areas by snapping one into an umbrella stand, to keep those benches and other outdoor accessories dry.

Umbrellas are not only great for spring rains, but come summer, they can help keep the sun out of your eyes and create shady spots for areas lacking natural shade from mature trees.

While those spring rains may put a damper on the time you’ve allotted to get your seasonal outdoor cleaning done, they will certainly help all those newly planted flowers bloom beautifully, making your yard even more enjoyable come summer.

Have Some Fun With Outdoor Games

For fun outdoor games and entertainment, clear your yard of the patio furniture, umbrellas, and all other outdoor accessories. Get a Beverage Cooler for cold drinks, like our Oval Beverage Cart, then choose your favorite games.

For a fun children's game, use chalk to draw a four square court on the cement, then watch them bounce the rubber ball back and fourth with glee. If you don't have cement, start a game of capture the flag. It's easy, just make two teams, one in the front yard and one in the back, then have each team hide their flag and try to capture their opponents hidden flag.

Bocce Ball is an entertaining game that adults will enjoy, but volleyball will really get them excited. Set up a net, make two teams, and have fun hitting the ball back and fourth. Croquet is also a popular outdoor game, just be sure to have lots of grassy space in your yard.

Use your imagination to come up with outdoor games, and let us know how they turned out!

Enjoy Nature With A Webcam

Enjoying nature is a relaxing, educational activity. Watching colorful birds play in your Two Cranes with Lily Bird Bath or eat from your Romance Bird House can be mesmerizing, so why not enjoy them while you are away?

To keep an eye on the bird in your yard, buy a Logitech Webcam and place it safely under your roof or any dry area of your house. Once you have the perfect place, turn on your webcam and enjoy the sight and sound of the chirping birds that are enjoying your yard. You will be able to view the interaction between birds and learn their habits from up close, without the risk of frightening them. Once you get to enjoy your footage, share it with friends and family on your blog or by email.

A webcam is a great and simple way to connect with the wildlife that is only footsteps away, so install one by your bird feeder or birdbath, and enjoy the discoveries of your own back yard!

Gather Around A Stylish Chimenea

There is nothing better than gathering friends and sitting around a fire, so get yourself a chimenea and start the party. Chimeneas are perfect outdoor fireplaces because they come in different shapes and sizes to fit on any patio.

The now popular chimenea can be fancy and embellished like the Royal Chimenea or simple and sleek like the Autumn Chimenea. Whatever you choose, it will work great as a fireplace since the fire is contained and ashes no longer fly from the fire near your feet. There is even a mini chimney to funnel the smoke away from you and your guests.

So have some fun and invite your friends over for a marshmallow roasting contest or to sing campfire songs around your new chimenea.
