Chimenea Safety

Chimineas come in many sizes, but they all present the same dangers if they are not used properly. There are several precautions to take when using your chiminea to ensure that nothing is harmed or damaged.

Chimineas should never be placed indoors or on a wooden surface such as a deck. Instead, a level and fireproof surface should be utilized outdoors. Although the fire may seem contained, always keep a fire extinguisher or a water source near the chiminea, and never leave the fire unattended. Most importantly, never put your chiminea too close to a house, tree limbs, railings, or anything else that could catch fire or melt.

Chimineas produce an immense amount of heat, which is why these precautions are so important, but they also produce and immense amount of serenity when used properly. Follow these preventative methods and enjoy your safe and splendid outdoor fire.
